This committee manages the voice, visibility, and reputation of District 212. It develops cohesive messaging to introduce the new district, ensures transparent communication throughout the merger, and strengthens brand identity. The committee builds trust and excitement while keeping members informed.

  • Unified communication plan and brand identity by June 30, 2026.
  • Consistent branding across all platforms and materials.
  • Proactive, positive communication around the merger.

 Detailed Task List

 Communication Strategy

  • Draft the D212 Communication Plan with messaging phases (pre-launch, launch, post-launch).
  • Define communication channels: email, website, newsletters, and social media.
  • Coordinate with Technology, Events, and Membership committees for message alignment.

Branding & Collateral

  • Develop branded slide decks, newsletters, and flyer templates.
  • Update event signage and social media profiles.

Member Engagement

  • Launch “Meet District 212” campaign introducing leadership and committees.
  • Share merger benefits through stories, spotlights, and testimonials.
  • Host virtual town halls for member Q&A.

Final Deliverable:
District 212 Communication Toolkit (logo, templates, messaging calendar).

Additional Ideas:

  1. List of all current social media accounts with login and passwords, who is current administrator for each.
    1. Determine timeline to disable the legacy social media accounts (or have each be prompted to connect to new D212 social media)
    2. Documentation of all that needs to transition year by year
