The District Events Committee ensures all district-level events — from contests to conferences — are well-organized, inclusive, and aligned with Toastmasters International standards. This committee promotes consistency, member engagement, and positive experiences across all D212 gatherings.
Scope & Deliverables
- Unified calendar of all major district events.
- Standardized event planning toolkit and checklist.
- Coordination of the inaugural D212 District Conference.
- Compliance with TI event, contest, and safety policies.

Calendar & Planning
- Develop a master calendar for contests, TLIs, conferences, and celebrations.
- Align scheduling to avoid overlap with club or area events.
Contest Management
- Review TI contest rulebooks and adapt to D212.
- Train contest chairs and chief judges for consistency.
- Develop digital tools for online or hybrid contests.
District Conference
- Create a planning subcommittee for the inaugural conference.
- Secure a location, budget, and event theme.
- Incorporate recognition, education, and networking opportunities.
Event Resources & Compliance
- Create a district events manual with timelines, budget templates, and vendor guidelines.
- Ensure all venues have TI liability coverage.
- Collect and archive event feedback for improvement.
